As well as all the allegorical allusions of the failings and foibles of a man's life, I added in a border of roundels containing depictions of proverbs which were inspired by the library ceiling carvings from Blickling Hall in Norfolk, UK. Yet another picture from the occasional series 'A Yet another picture from the occasional series 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man'. Here we see the artist in jubilant mood after completing his slightly-larger-than-he-really-wanted-it-to-be piece 'Map of the Human Heart'. It appears that the mental strain of creating this exuberantly nonsensical piece caused the artist to go spontaneously bald and temporarily imagine he was a hari krishna. Another friend said that this vision of a dreamworld afterlife had its own 'internal logic' that reminded her of the work of the visionary William Blake. I published a large, hardback book of the words and images just for myself, and this was what kick-started my love of poetry, storytelling, and creating my own novels.
